Sir,
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter No. 1276 dated the 19th instant, referring to alleged native of Germany Marie Gausse. In reply, I beg to state that I shall not fail to make arrangement for the payment of the hospital expenses for the said Marie Gausse and sending her home, provided there is sufficient evidence for her being a German subject. A search of her effects will perhaps produce the necessary proof in the shape of passports or other documents.
